Studio catalogue, sorted by what you need

Three ways into the work: a first piece to live with, a guided selection for a specific wall or palette, and ongoing studio contact for collectors building a series over time. Filter by series below, or open any entry for medium, surface, dimensions and edition size.

What you can actually do here

The shop is built around the way paintings are really bought: you want to know the medium, the surface, the exact size and how many exist before anything leaves the studio. Every listing carries those details up front, and the cart lets you pair a canvas with a print or a set of cards without a separate order.

Series-based browsing

Coastal light, Karoo horizons, highveld weather and the quiet interior still lifes each sit in their own group. If you already know the mood you want on a wall, you can go straight to that series instead of scrolling a mixed feed.

Full specification on every piece

Medium, painting surface, dimensions in centimetres and inches, and edition size where one applies. No guessing whether a work is oil on linen or acrylic on board, and no surprise about how wide the frame will sit.

Originals, shipped your way

Canvas originals leave the studio either stretched on a crate or rolled in a tube, whichever suits your framer or your wall. Rolled work travels lighter; stretched work hangs the day it arrives.

Signed, numbered giclée prints

Limited-edition prints are produced on cotton rag, checked against the original, then numbered and signed by hand. When an edition closes, it stays closed — the number on your sheet is the number that exists.

One cart for mixed orders

Combine a painting with a print, or add a pack of greeting cards to a study. Everything goes into the same cart, so a single order can cover a gift and a larger acquisition without splitting the paperwork.

Commissions, twice a year

If you have a specific view or palette in mind, the commission list opens in two windows each year. You bring the place or the colour direction; the studio handles scale, surface and timeline before any deposit is discussed.

Questions that come up before a painting leaves the studio

Shipping, editions, framing and how a commission actually works. If your question isn't here, the studio answers email within a day or two.

How are canvas originals shipped?

Smaller canvases travel stretched in a rigid crate with corner protection. Anything wider than about a metre is taken off the stretcher and rolled face-out in a tube, with written restretching notes included. Both options are insured and tracked.

What does a limited-edition giclée print include?

Each print is numbered, signed in pencil below the image and matched to a specific painting from one of the series. Editions are capped — usually forty or sixty — and once the run closes, it isn't reprinted. Prints ship flat in a sleeve with a backing board.

Can I combine a painting with a print in one order?

Yes. The cart handles mixed orders, including a pack of greeting cards alongside a framed study. Because originals and prints are packed differently, they may arrive in separate parcels on the same tracking number.

How do commissions work?

The commission list opens twice a year, in autumn and late spring. You send a view or a palette you have in mind, we agree on size and surface, and the painting is worked over roughly eight to twelve weeks. A short progress note goes out midway.

Do the works arrive framed?

Canvas originals and cradled boards arrive ready to hang, unframed. The small still-life studies on paper are sold unmounted so you can choose your own oak or dark moulding. If you'd like a framing recommendation, mention it when you order.
