Guided Setup Option

A focused product built around practical decisions and constraints.

This option is for collectors who already know roughly what they want on the wall but need help narrowing the choices. We start with the room, not the painting: wall length, ceiling height, how the light moves through the day, and whether the piece will sit above a fireplace, a sideboard or nothing at all. From there we shortlist two or three works from the current series and talk through what each one does in that specific space.

What the session covers

  • Scale and proportion. A 90 by 120 centimetre canvas reads very differently in a passage than in an open living room. We work from your measurements, not a catalogue thumbnail.
  • Surface and finish. Stretched canvas, rolled canvas or a framed board each change how a work sits on the wall and how it travels to you.
  • Series fit. Coastal light, Karoo horizons and the interior studies hold different palettes. We check which one belongs with your existing furniture and wall tone.
  • Editions and originals. A signed numbered giclĂ©e and a one-off canvas are different commitments. The session makes that tradeoff clear before you decide.

Sessions run by appointment and are usually booked a few weeks ahead. If you are still comparing formats, the studio notes on hanging and framing are a reasonable place to start.
