Before you confirm the cart

A few things about how work leaves the studio, how editions are counted, and what a cart can and cannot hold. Worth a minute now rather than an email later.

One cart, mixed formats

A stretched canvas, a rolled canvas and a signed print can sit in the same cart, but they do not travel in the same parcel. Originals are packed separately from paper editions, so a combined order may arrive as two deliveries on different days.

Stretched or rolled

Canvas originals over one metre are usually rolled in a rigid tube unless you ask for stretcher bars. Rolled work needs re-stretching by a framer near you; that cost and the frame itself are yours, not part of the order.

What "edition of forty" means

Giclée editions are printed once and then closed. The number on your print, written by hand beside the signature, is its place in that run. When the run is gone, that image is not reprinted at a different size to keep it in stock.

Colour on a screen

Monitors shift ochre and deep teal more than any other part of the palette. The Karoo works in particular read warmer in person than on a phone. If a specific tone matters to you, ask for a daylight photograph of the piece before it ships.

Holding an item

A cart is not a reservation. Two collectors can add the same one-off study, and the piece goes to whoever completes the order first. If you need a short hold while you decide on framing, write to the studio and we will note it.

Commissions sit outside the cart

Commissioned views and palette requests are not cart items. They open twice a year, are discussed by email first, and are only scheduled once the brief, size and surface are agreed in writing.

Anything unclear about a piece, a surface or a delivery method, ask before you check out: info@jeffandersonartwork.com or call +27(53)6232497.

When something in the cart needs a second look

Editions, shipping methods and combined orders sometimes raise questions that a product page cannot answer. If a print number, a canvas dimension or a delivery address needs checking, reach the studio directly and we will sort it out before the parcel leaves.

The studio is run by one person, so replies come from the same hands that stretched the canvas. That also means response times follow working hours rather than a call centre rota.

Email the studio

Best for edition numbers, framing questions, combined shipping of a painting with a print, or a change of address before dispatch.

Before you write

Many cart questions are already answered in the help pages: edition sizes, surface and medium notes, and how stretched versus rolled originals are packed.

Start with the support page, or browse the studio resources for care and framing notes.

Review your selection before it leaves the studio

Everything you have gathered sits in one place: canvases, numbered prints, a pack of greeting cards if you added one. Check the pieces, confirm how we should reach you, and tell us how the work should travel.

Shipping and handling

  • Canvas originals leave the studio stretched and varnished, or rolled on request for international courier.
  • Prints are interleaved with acid-free tissue and posted in a rigid tube.
  • Card packs travel flat and can be combined with a print in the same parcel.
  • Framing is not included. A local framer can match the oak moulding used in the studio.

Before you confirm
